How it works
The nanoscale sand mill is driven by a main motor, which spins a zirconia rotor mounted on the main shaft at high speed. This rotation, in turn, sets the grinding media (zirconia beads) inside the grinding chamber into rapid motion, generating intense impact, friction, and shear forces. As a result, the material is thoroughly ground and uniformly dispersed.
The nanoscale sand mill features a high-precision mechanical seal specifically designed for sand mills, ensuring exceptional assembly accuracy and long-lasting durability. The grinding chamber is completely sealed, minimizing air entrainment to prevent excessive bubble formation—and also reducing solvent evaporation, thereby mitigating environmental pollution. Additionally, this model employs a static, screen-type tubular center-discharge system, which separates the grinding media from the material being processed right at the center of the grinding chamber. Thanks to the self-cleaning action created by the movement of grinding beads across the device’s surface, clogging of the grinding media in narrow gaps is significantly reduced, effectively preventing material buildup issues. Depending on the desired particle fineness of the material, users can select grinding media of varying sizes, making this machine suitable for a wide range of fluid materials with different viscosities.
